Who We Are

Life Care Foundation Rehabilitation and Counseling Center is a dedicated initiative committed to addressing the growing challenge of drug and alcohol addiction in society. Established on 18th May 2019, the foundation was formed with a clear objective—to provide care, support, and recovery services to individuals affected by substance abuse.

Located in Sohkhyllam, Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, the foundation works at the grassroots level to bring hope and healing to individuals and families impacted by addiction.

Our Journey

Since its inception, Life Care Foundation has been working towards creating a supportive environment for recovery and awareness. A major milestone in this journey was the establishment of the Rehabilitation and Counseling Center on 28th March 2025.

The center was officially inaugurated by Shri Sampath Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, marking a significant step toward strengthening rehabilitation services in the region.

This center was established with the purpose of providing structured rehabilitation, professional counseling, and a safe space for individuals to begin their journey toward recovery.

What We Do

Life Care Foundation focuses on delivering holistic care and support through:

  • Rehabilitation services for individuals struggling with addiction
  • Counseling and emotional support
  • Awareness programs to prevent substance abuse
  • Support for reintegration into society

We believe that recovery is not just about treatment, but about restoring dignity, confidence, and purpose in life.

Staffing Structure

To support the daily operations of the Rehabilitation and Counselling Centre, the following staffing roles have been proposed:

Manager-cum-in-charge and Project Coordinator

Counsellor, Staff Nurse, Visiting Doctor, and Yoga Therapist.

Warden, Outreach Worker, and Accountant.

Watchman, Chowkidar, and Housekeeping.

Our Vision for the Future

We envision a society where individuals are free from the grip of addiction and have access to the care and support they need to lead meaningful lives. Through our continuous efforts, we aim to expand our reach and impact more lives across the region.
